Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Draft notice: Cleenrz is currently in testing. This is a working draft of our privacy policy and has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor.

1. Who we are

Cleenrz Limited ("Cleenrz", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We're registered in England and Wales.

2. What we collect

We collect the information you give us directly, including:

  • Your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text)
  • The address where a clean is taking place, for each booking
  • If you join as a Cleenr: your profile details, bio, hourly rate, and identity verification information used during our approval process
  • Messages you send us, for example when contacting support

We also collect some information automatically, such as booking history and basic usage data, to keep the service running and improve it.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — see "Third parties" below.

3. Why we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match Customers with Cleenrs and process bookings
  • Process payments and payouts
  • Verify Cleenr identity as part of our approval process
  • Communicate with you about your bookings or account
  • Keep the platform safe and investigate reports of misconduct
  • Meet our legal obligations

4. Third parties we share data with

We share data with a small number of service providers who help us run Cleenrz, and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication
  • Stripe — processes payments and payouts to Cleenrs; Stripe has its own privacy policy governing the payment and identity data it collects directly from you during checkout or Cleenr onboarding
  • Resend — sends transactional emails on our behalf, such as booking confirmations and account notifications
  • Microsoft — if you join our Cleenr waitlist, your name, email, phone number, and area are synced to a spreadsheet in our own Microsoft account so we can follow up with you

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after that to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see your rights below.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email hello@cleenrz.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.

7. Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We don't currently use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops. If we make a material change, we'll let you know before it takes effect.
